A long-term care insurance policy helps cover the costs of that care when you have a chronic medical condition, such as Alzheimer’s disease. According to benefit payments, there are two types of LTC policies-Reimbursement and Indemnity.
Reimbursement long term care insurance policies pay for the actual daily (or monthly) cost of care. Receipts of care are needed for reimbursements.
Indemnity long term care insurance policies pay your selected daily benefit as soon as you qualify for benefits. You will receive this amount regardless of the actual cost of care.
